Beauty advice from someone who has spent nearly 30 years working with makeup
I'm Lynette Page, a professional makeup artist, beauty writer and makeup educator based in Cheshire. My career spans nearly three decades across professional makeup, product development, training and beauty journalism.
I have worked with different skin tones, skin textures and ages, and have experience backstage at London Fashion Week. Having also developed my own makeup brand, I understand beauty from more than one angle: the formula, the application, the consumer and the story behind the product.
My approach
I believe good beauty advice should help you make an informed decision, not convince you that you need another ten products. Here you'll find straightforward makeup techniques, skincare explainers, beauty industry commentary and considered product coverage.
My focus is on what a product is designed to do, how it fits into a realistic routine and whether its claims stand up to scrutiny. Where I have not personally tested a product, I will not present it as a hands-on review.
Writing, education and creative work
Alongside professional makeup work and training, I have written about beauty for more than a decade, including contributions to Cheshire Life. I also bring experience of beauty product creation and sourcing to my editorial work.
